1. Information We Collect
To deliver the Service, we collect:
- Contact & account information: your name, email address, phone number, and business details
- Business information: your business name, address, service area, services, hours, website, and Google Business Profile — including information we gather from your existing website and public profiles to build your authority site
- Payment information: billing details and payment method, processed securely by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
- Reviews: your Google reviews, aggregated for display via our reviews provider
- Contacts you provide: if you use the review-request add-on, the customer names, emails, and phone numbers you upload so we can send requests on your behalf
- Usage & analytics data: pages visited, device and browser type, referrer, and IP address
2. How We Use Your Information
- Build, host, and maintain your authority site and publish content
- Register and manage a domain on your behalf, where applicable
- Display your Google reviews and, where enabled, send review requests to your customers
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you transactional and service emails
- Provide support and improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the Service, listed on our Sub-processors page. Each is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies for security and basic functionality, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@swooshrank.com. If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your subscription is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you cancel, we delete personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records).
7. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure is primarily located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US. For transfers from the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted. Please review this page periodically.
11. SMS and Text Messaging
Our optional review-request add-on sends SMS on behalf of a business to its customers. We send these messages only to numbers a business has provided with the customer's consent, collected at the point of service. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP and get help by replying HELP. We do not sell mobile phone numbers, and mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Message and data rates may apply. 12. Connected Platforms (Google, Facebook & Instagram)
When you choose to connect a third-party account, we access only the data needed to provide the connected features, store any access tokens encrypted at rest, and never sell that data or share it for advertising. You can disconnect at any time, which revokes our access and removes the stored tokens.
Google Business Profile
If you connect your Google Business Profile, we access your business locations, reviews, local posts, and performance metrics through the Google Business Profile APIs in order to display your reviews, publish updates you create, and report performance back to you. SwooshRank's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use this data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it except as needed to provide the feature you requested, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
Facebook & Instagram
If you connect a Facebook Page or linked Instagram account, we access the Pages you manage, publish posts you create, and read your Page's recommendations, comments, and insights, in order to provide posting, review display, moderation, and reporting. We handle this data in line with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. To request deletion of the data associated with a Meta connection, disconnect the app from your Facebook settings (which triggers our automated deletion), use our data deletion instructions, or email us. We delete the connection's tokens and stored data on request.
